What Can You Use Process Automation For?

Just about any process in your office can be automated. The Microsoft Office suite of tools (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio) all use a programming language called VBA, which can be used to automate everything they do and everything you do in them.

Most processes can be automated to just a click of a single button.

So for example it could create an image in PowerPoint, save it as a JPEG, paste it into a Word document, save it as a PDF and then attach it to an email and send it. That is a bit of a frivolous example of what is possible, so here is a list of some more practical things we have automated.

What if What I Want to Automate is not in Microsoft Office?

If a process cannot be automated with VBA or in Microsoft Office, we will gladly advise you on other automation methods. There is a wide range of automation software available ranging from IFTTT through to UiPath and Automation Anywhere.

Will I Need Expensive Software?

The good news is you don’t need expensive software to achieve any of this. Most of this can be achieved with just Microsoft Office and a bit of programming knowledge. That’s where we come in. We can help you utilise Microsoft and VBA to its fullest and to automate your business.

If your automation can not be performed in Microsoft Office, further automation can be achieved with programs like IFTTT, Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath or Automation Anywhere. Alternatively, programming languages like Python can be used. We can help you with any of them.
